Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is an international commercial airport located three miles southwest of the central business district of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLL serves as a focus city for Allegiant Air, JetBlue Airways, and Caribbean Airways, in addition to serving as the largest base of operations for Spirit Airlines. FLL is currently the 21st busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic averaging more than 600 flights a day, and offering non- stop flights to 60 U.S. cities. In the late 2000’s FLL desired to provide a more flexible passenger processing environment to support their airline tenants.
Project Description
As part of a multidisciplinary team, JWG is supporting a multi-year On-Call IT Consulting Services engagement that includes numerous topics for analysis and recommendations. The services to be included as part of any analysis are a current conditions assessment, industry standards and best practice, gap analysis, phasing recommendations for any identified gaps, and budgetary cost estimates for recommendations.
As part of this effort, JWG has successfully performed an assessment and gap analysis of the FLL data and technology environment to determine current state of PCI compliance. This work also included a review of the current security protocols consisting of policies, processes and procedures, network architecture and configurations, and applications. The work resulted in a PCI Environment Report providing current state of the PCI environment.
