Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (airport code PHX) is the nation's 10th busiest airport and is 18th busiest in the world for passenger traffic. Sky Harbor has three terminals, 2-4. Terminal 1 was demolished in 1990 after Terminal 4 was built and the other terminals were never renumbered. Seventeen airlines serve the airport.
The JW Group personnel were responsible for all activities associated with the design and development of a campus-wide communications infrastructure and a new public information and paging display system. Activities included the design and development of procurement documentation for the implementation of enhancements. The campus-wide infrastructure included the design and implementation of a 12,000 square foot facility that served as the campus’ data center as well as the operational command center. A follow on project was to develop procurement documentation and a recommended business model for a distributed antenna system which utilized the enhanced communications infrastructure.
