Mar de Cortes International Airport, officially Peñasco International Airport, is an international airport located 15 minutes from the city of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, a city near the U.S. / Mexico border, on the Gulf of California coast.

Project Description

The JW Group personnel was part of team responsible for the development of a new passenger terminal facility and associated aircraft parking apron. The terminal will include a U.S. pre-clearance facility that will enable U.S. bound passengers to process immigration control and customs control prior to departing the airport. Services provided included complete architectural conceptual design documents, passenger flow diagrams, building elevations, concession / retail plan, demand capacity analysis, terminal space program and development of terminal phasing concepts.
